The Light House is an exercise in the orchestration of natural light as the primary spatial medium. Rather than treating light as a byproduct of window placement, the design begins from light itself — tracing the arc of the sun across the site and organizing the plan and section of the home to ensure that every primary space has access to daylight of a specific quality at a specific time of day.
The result is a home that changes throughout the day in a way that is deeply felt: morning light washing through the kitchen, afternoon sun animating the main living areas, and a warm evening light that settles into the spaces of retreat. The material palette is chosen to receive and reflect this light rather than compete with it.
