Bioi Design + Build

The Brickburn Estate occupies a rare parcel along the edge of Calgary's Edworthy Park — a site defined by its adjacency to mature tree canopy, a dramatic grade change, and a strong sense of remove from the urban fabric despite sitting firmly within the city. The design responds to this unique condition: a home that faces inward toward its own landscape while remaining deeply aware of its exceptional natural setting.

Built with a commitment to considered materiality, the Brickburn Estate uses brick as its primary expression — at once familiar within Calgary's residential tradition and elevated here through careful detailing and precise proportion. The home is organized across several intersecting volumes that step with the terrain, allowing each primary space its own relationship to the park and to natural light.
